Burn the fat, baby!

I've been having stomach pains since lunch...I haven't eaten rice the whole week and it has been my first time today. I think my stomach wasn't used to digesting rice anymore. :D I've been having lots of oatmeal and I think my tummy got used to the fiber, now, rice is too hard to digest. During the week, I had more hours on the wii doing aerobics, boxing and hula hoops...that's my attempt on burning those stubborn fat. I could of course get those fat burning pills, that would be easier but I don't really believe in them, well if you do, you can click here to learn more about best fat burners.

More supplements

When I was a regular visitorat the gym, I'd bring a bottle of water, a small towel, a big towel and my workout clothes. I never thought of taking in supplements to help me tolerate pain or make me do longer workouts. Those are of course displayed at the gym's counter...energy drinks, chocolate bars, protein supplements and many other tablets. There are many products out there, www.noxplode.org gives us a review of one of those products, contents, side effects and other info one needs to know in taking such supplements-

Give your eyes some color!

A friend has been complaining about her eyes, she feels that at times she fails to read so many words because of blurring. She asked me to look for the nearest eye doctor in town but I ended up browsing about cheap glasses. There's a lot written about Zenni Optical eyeglasses, there were so much buzz about it that even the Examiner.com recommended it to readers in a recent article about contact lenses and prescription glasses. So I took the ride and looked at what it's all about.

Zenni Optical offers 8$ complete prescription glasses, a steal from the usual fare of 118$. Each frame comes in stylish designs and colors.
tricolorUnfortunately or not, my eyes are perfectly ok, so if there are just designer frames for a cooler look, I'd definitely take one. Thanks to my mom, I ate enough carrots and other yellow and orange veggies for my Vitamin A supply. :)

Though priced lower, these eyeglasses boast of anti-scratch coating feature and full UV protection. Each also comes with quality hard eyeglass case and microfiber lens cleaning cloth. Zenni sees to it that each piece is invidually suited for the wearer, not only with design but the quality of each to assure comfort and satisfaction, they are health items after all! The biggest plus is you get these eyeglasses for a price you won't regret...It seems too good to be true but is it possible to get a pair of glasses for such a price? It takes week before you can get your glasses from Zenni optical opposed to same day or two days from other local shops. Well, this is because they are manufactured overseas but be assured that the quality is competitive to what the local market has to offer. I hope I can order one for my friend as well.

Colon cleanse

IMG_0457You've probably seen those ads about cleansing, Beyonce's testimony about the lemon cleanse and other colon cleanse product reviews proliferating the blogosphere. You'd think does it work or more appropriately, is it worth it? Our body has natural ways to detoxify itself, this is why it is normally not recommended even by experts. Some of my friends did cleansing to lose weight, and they say it was effective, only problem is you have to do it regularly since the weight comes back after sometime. If you consider doing a colon cleanse, better consult an expert first. As for me, I'd do with a glass of water and a pinch of lemon to go with it.

My acne love affair

I have mentioned a lot of times that I suffered from  acne after stopping from taking in contraceptive pills. It was a really passionate love affair...it began a year ago along with me adding weight (how worse could it get?) which had been really bothering me a lot. These are among the reasons why I decided to change my eating habits to regain my self-esteem. I also have been sleeping late...you know blog and all the online stuff....so I have been taking in some vitamins which I will tell you about as soon  as I get results from them. For now, I blame the pills and lack of sleep and the wrong food (basically all lol)...

Congratulations Khae!

My 27-year-old neighbor told me yesterday that she'd be having a baby girl! For the past 6 months when I bump on her on the street, she would ask me tips about pregnancy, kids and motherhood in general. Since I do not have a younger sister, I felt as though I am an older sister giving advice. :D

Having gone through pregnancy three times is a good enough reason to be confident in giving out advice! Lol. The very first thing I told her was to lessen her intakes of bananas, yesterday, I told her to remove it completely from her meals. Well, based on personal experience, bananas made me constipated. It is a case of individual differences though. Since banana contains lots of fiber it should be other way around, but I'm not sure, I still warned her.

Second is totummy have a bottle of water by the bed. This will come in handy in the wee hours when she gets thirsty. Of course, frequent trips to the toilet is unavoidable, it is good to replace the liquid. I also warned her about cramps. It's a good thing that my hubby wakes up easily so he knows what to do when I shook him. Unfortunately, neighbor's husband is not yet with her, so it is quite a difficult phase. I told her to ask her doctor for some magnesium and other supplements, if not there are over the counter prenatal vitamins that she can get from the Apotheke. These will help not only her but the baby as well...magnesium lessens the cramping.

There are other bits and pieces I shared to her which I'm sure she heard from other friends as well. In the end, I told her; when your baby comes, you will know what to do, it's the thing they call instinct and you'll feel very happy about it. ;-)

Supplements

Aside from ensuring my kids get the needed glow, grow, go foods, I also give them a daily supplement, that is for better appetite and for them to grow a "bit" taller. I myself take vitamin C supplements from a friend in Japan, helps my skin glow! ;-) I also see to it that hubby takes in his required vitamins and minerals with a daily balance supplement. So far, I've seen good outcome from it. He has less sneeze attacks now. Though spring hasn't come yet, I am certain he won't be having the allergies like the past 2 years. My mom gets joint supplements from time to time as well. She's 60 and of course, she gets the feeling of being a bit out of tune, hehe.

Burn

While browsing at a friend's page of skin supplements, I noticed one that seem to not belong to the group...the section:

fat burner. I was almost tempted to try it because there were lots of comments from those who have bought the product. Seems as though they are giving out good testimony for the effectivity of the product. In the end though, I just bought what I originally planned to buy, the skin vitamin supplement...I just told myself, I will get there: to losing weight, soon, hihi.
