Cannelloni con Ricota e Spinati
Cannelloni (Italian, meaning large reeds) are rectangular pasta sheets that are rolled with a filling. It resembles a crepe, generally 8-10 cm (3-4 inches) in length and once rolled, 2 cm (1 inch) in diameter.
The filling could be varied. Still in Venice then, I had a dish filled with ricotta cheese and spinach covered with bechamel sauce.
